Veronica Mattar, Part owner of Mane Fixation, started her passion of hair design at the age of 17.
She previously worked and trained at Toni and Guy for a total of 5 years, becoming one of the top colorists at the Phoenix, AZ location. To broaden her knowledge and gain inspiration, she spent a period of time in Europe and Tel Aviv, Israel where she became well educated on various European techniques and brought back a different culture to the hair industry.
Her passion started when she figured out that being a hairdresser doesn’t just make people look beautiful, but it can make others feel confident from the inside out.
On an ongoing journey to change how others view the hair industry, she created a more business professional approach with an artsy twist. Her goal is to bring artists from various fields together to create a community and to also give back to the world with the gift of beauty.
Cinthia Origgi is a hairstylist in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Lima, Peru, Cinthia came to Los Angeles when she was 19 years old. Shortly thereafter, Cinthia discovered her insatiable passion for hair. Working professionally as a hair stylist for the past ten years, Cinthia is an expert in Color, Highlights, Blondes, Color Correction and Classic & Modern Cuts. Her secret inspiration behind her cultured, cutting-edge styles is her love of art and an informed understanding of the person sitting in her chair. Your hair is an extension and an expression of who you are.
Kristen Hasselbach began her journey in the beauty industry at the age of 17 when she became a licensed cosmetologist.
Growing up, her parents worked for a hair care manufacturing company which allowed her to attend countless hair shows and private classes. From these opportunities and experiences, she her knowledge of and interest in the beauty industry grew.
Following in her mother’s footsteps, Kristen ultimately found her passion as a hairdresser. She moved to LA in 2014 to grow as a stylist and to teach others along the way. Transforming someone’s energy and allowing their confidence to shine is something she feels is irreplaceable.
Anthony Lillio II, Los Angeles Native, started in Fine Arts at a very young age, working mostly in oil paints and graphite.
He became a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) and began a career in Special Events Design. This position provided him the opportunity to travel the world both domestically and internationally. Together these experiences allow him to grasp the true essence of communicating visually, using his favorite medium yet, HAIR!
He trained with L’Oreal professional hair color, was a featured participant in the Sebastian/Wella Whats Next Awards, and has mentored with some of the most talented in the industry. These mentors include, Celebrity stylist Mike Boner (Los Angeles) and Celebrity Colorist Sheri Roman (West Hollywood).
His experience and artistic instinct play an important role in his craft, and allow him to fulfill his dedication to the world of art.
Chante Jewett, originally from the big island of Hawaii, always knew her passion was hair. From doing hair in her small bathroom as a teenager, she loved the creativity that was involved. Transitioning into a licensed professional, she still has that passion and continues to learn as much as she can about the industry. It’s not just hair that’s being created, it’s also making someone feel confident, beautiful, and being able to listen that gives her the most joy in this profession.
Lizette Rodriguez began her career in cosmetics with Chanel at Nordstroms in 2006. Soon after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a degree in Visual Communication, she transferred to the Visual department at the farmers market. While working at the Grove, she aslo had the opportunity to work on special events with many designers and celebrities.
Inspired, she took her first steps into the film industry. While working side by side with established makeup artists on set, she came to the realization that makeup, wardrobe, and hair are inextricably linked, all coming together to create a whole picture. Having experience now in makeup and wardrobe, it was clear her path took her to the Aveda Institute of Los Angeles cosmetology program.
Her skills in design, wardrobe styling, trend forecasting, lighting and beauty, along with the ability to lead innovative and creative design concepts, have all played a part in her accomplishments. Together with Mane Fixation’s guidance, she is on her way to her final goal: becoming a true wildcard of all trades.
Jessica Monkarsh grew up in bright and sunny Los Angeles and knew from a very young age she wanted to be in the beauty industry. Before getting started in her hair career she took a slight detour and went to San Fransisco State University, where she studied anthropology and journalism. But after 2 years of her education she knew something was missing and that her true calling was to go to cosmetology school to become the stylist she always wanted to be! She is L'Oréal Professional trained and assisted at Butterfly Loft salon in Encino under a top published stylist. She specializes in balayage, highlights, and loves creating sun kissed blondes and brunettes. Jessica wants every client who sits in her chair to feel beautiful and leave more confident and refreshed!
Growing up around barbershops and salons for most of her life, Brenda Becerra went on to follow in her mother's footsteps also as a hairdresser. However, the road there was hardly linear. Throughout her teen years, she would often do her mothers retouches, and even perms, when they were more popular. Hair was always something she felt passionate for, but it was at 22, after seeking a degree in psychology, that she finally accepted her calling to pursue doing hair as a career . Like her mother, Brenda began specializing in men's haircuts, but eventually specialized in cut, color, and threading. Finding joy and the ability to express her creativity though hairdressing, Brenda continues to help others both look and feel their best selves.
In an industry where the lines between quality and gimmick can sometimes become skewed, Courtney Ward knew that the true mark of a great hairdresser was not just to "create" but to be able to "recreate" amazing work. The decision to attend the world renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica for her formal diploma training gave her the opportunity to master the true art of precision cutting. Continued advanced Sassoon education has made Courtney an icon among stylists in the Monterey, Carmel, Los Angeles, and San Diego area. Whether it's a subtle refinement in a sleek classic look or an edge up in something more creative, you can be sure that Courtney will approach every style with pure sophisticated precision. In Courtney's own words, "You can get 'really good' anywhere else, I strive to make it 'perfect'".
Bianca was born and raised in riverside California where she went to cosmetology school. At an early age Bianca was inspired by fashion and beauty. Immediately after attending FIDM in Los Angeles she was immersed into the beauty industry and worked as a make up artist for MAC cosmetics for two years, there is where she realized her love for working with clients on a one on one basis and wanted to devote her career to making people feel beautiful. Immediately after attaining her cosmetology license Bianca went to work for Flure, an AVEDA Salon and assisted the owner for two years. After gaining confidence she moved back to Los Angeles and worked as a color specialist at KRIZA AVEDA salon for the next three years. After her time with Kriza she felt the desire to move into the arts district for more inspiration and spent the next two years at the Noho Hair Salon which now brings her to Mane Fixation where she can show off her talent, knowledge and passion for hair.
